Biography

Nooka Shepherd

Born 1998, London, UK

Lives and works in Dorset, UK

Nooka’s work centres on cultivating narratives of symbiosis and harmony. Weaving humanity, so long divorced from the ecosystem of which we are a part, back into the great web of life that makes this planet. Nooka draws on symbols and imagery from the folklore of these islands to create their own images and objects that become votive, animistic items, encouraging connection to and conversation with place and it’s more-than-human inhabitants.
