ARTISTS SCAVENGERS DEVELOPERS:
YOU GET IT – RE-DEVELOP IT – SELL IT AT AUCTION AT THE RESIDENCE’S FINAL EXHIBITION AT THE VERGER’S COTTAGE BEFORE IT IS DEMOLISHED TO MAKE WAY FOR FLATS.

IN THE TRADITION OF THE RESIDENCE’S ANNUAL ON-THE-FLY-ART-FAIR, WE CALL UPON THE RISING ARTIST GENTRY OF LONDON TO SWARM IN ON THE ESTATE OF INGRID Z FOR A RADICAL RE-DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONAL POSSESSIONS:

You will be issued:
-1 object
-Provenance of object

You will return the object completely redeveloped for exhibition and sale.

-It will be photographed and featured on-line for bidding at www.residence-gallery.com from 1st of July.

-It will be exhibited at THE RESIDENCE for “THE WRECKING BALL & JUMBLE SALE”, opening 31.07.09, as part of HACKNEY WICKED, the 2nd annual Major Arts Festival in London’s Hackney Wick, presenting the new blood of contemporary art; a rising generation of galleries and open studios combined.

-A final live auction event will take place 2nd Aug. 2009.

£5 Registration/material/promo fee
Profits: 50% standard gallery commission will apply to sales over £5

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE APPROVED BY 6th JUNE 2009 AND COLLECTION OF MATERIALS WILL FOLLOW SHORTLY THEREAFTER. YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL 20 JUNE TO MODIFY YOUR OBJECT. ARTISTS MUST BE ABLE TO COLLECT/DROP-OFF OBJECTS TO AND FROM GALLERY BASED IN HACKNEY WICK, LONDON, E9. REGISTRATION FEE DUE UPON COLLECTION OF OBJECT.
