THE RESIDENCE GALLERY unveils evocative new works by Irish-born LIAM RYAN, a rare and intuitive young painter. Fresh from a remarkable journey, the work transcribes a primal tenderness and childlike awareness. Recently the artist disembarked from life in London when he was drawn to live on a small remote island in the Scottish Hebrides. There he opened his canvases to calmly record his intense symphony of the visual language, synchronizing wild emotive atmospheres of nature, spiritualism, culture, tradition, and abstract visions layer upon layer upon layer...
Liam was awarded the prestigious Royal Dublin Society Taylor Prize for painting (2006) and
completed his MA at Central St Martins with a scholarship from Lismore Castle Arts (2009). Liam has exhibited throughout Ireland, Berlin and London and has work in private collections in the UK and abroad. PULSE Miami Contemporary Art Fair and The Residence Gallery are proud to launch the first ever American solo exhibition of Liam Ryan.

the most outlandish abstract painters, the worlds of art and science
are moving ever closer.
'Radar 100: Space Rage', focuses on hot artist discoveries
exploring the theme of outer space. Rockets, lasers, galactic
geometry, astronomical mysticism…we are turning the Hubble telescope onto Hackney, with painting, sculpture, film and performance, boldly pushing art's final frontier.
